WEST PENWITH COMMUNITY BUS ASSOCIATION
The West Penwith Community Bus has been in service since 1985 and has continued to provide transport services to the local community where public transport is unable to meet specific needs.
In the main we operate a demand and response service known as Dial- a-Ride which offers a flexible pick up and drop off point and, wherever possible, a door to door service. This service offers transport in the West Penwith area and covers nine villages in the surrounding rural area.
The West Penwith Community Bus Association is run by a voluntary committee and employs a part-time administrator and six part-time drivers..
We are a non-profit making organisation which, in the main, provides transport to people who have no access to transport, have difficulty in using public transport, are students, aged over 60 or who have difficulty in walking. Our buses are equipped with wheelchair access and assistance dogs travel free of charge. Our aim is to offer a friendly and reliable service to all who travel with us.
We also offer a group hire service, at very competitive rates, to organisations such as sports clubs, youth clubs, senior social clubs, etc. Call us for details

We offer competitive rates for our group hire service. Our mini buses
are available with WPCBA driver or own driver (will need Group
D1 on driving licence).

Dial-a-Ride - Book Seats in Advance
We offer a friendly and reliable Dial-a-Ride service in the area of West Penwith using an easy access minibus for residents who live in the parishes of, Zennor, Morvah, St Just, Sennen, St Levan, St Buryan, Paul, Sancreed and Madron. Passengers must register to become members. Membership is free.
NEW!! Penzance Dial-a-Ride
A new service is being offered for Penzance residents who have no access to transport, have difficulty in using public transport, are students, aged over 60 or who have difficulty in walking who can register, free of charge, to use the new minibus service.
Penwith College, Truro College Link Bus and Work Services
A daily morning service into Penzance for Penwith College and in time for the link bus to Truro College and Penzance train station, if required. An ideal service for Penwith College students and workers living in the Sennen/St Levan/St Buryan area.
Supermarket Run
Every Thursday a service takes shoppers to Tesco in Penzance. Call or email for further details.
Accessibility
We have vehicles available that are wheelchair accessible and have a low access step. Please tell us about any special requirements when you book. Assistant dogs travel free of charge.
Concessions
Concessionary Fare Cards are accepted on the Dial-a-Ride and scheduled services. School Transport travel cards can also be used on our services. Contact Cornwall Council Passenger Transport Unit for further details on 01872 322003.
