WEST PENWITH COMMUNITY BUS ASSOCIATION

The West Penwith Community Bus has been in service for 23 years and has continued to provide transport services to the local community where public transport is unable to meet specific needs.

In the main we operate a demand and response service known as Dial A Ride which offers a flexible pick up and drop off point and, wherever possible, a door to door service. This service offers transport in the West Penwith area and covers 9 villages and surrounding rural areas within the area of 8 parishes.

The West Penwith Community Bus Association is run by a voluntary committee and employs a part time administrator, 1 full time driver and 2 part time drivers with assistance from volunteer drivers as and when necessary.

We are a non profit making organisation which in the main provides transport to people who have no private transport, or have difficulty in using public transport. Our buses are equipped with wheelchair access. Our aim is to offer a friendly and reliable service to all who travel with us.

We also offer a group hire service, at very competitive rates, to organisations such as sports clubs; youth clubs; senior social clubs; etc. Call us for details.

Group Hire

We offer competitive rates for our group hire service. Our mini buses are available with WPCBA driver or own driver.

Dial a Ride - Book Seats in Advance

We offer a friendly and reliable dial a ride service in the area of West Penwith using an easy access minibus for residents who live in the parishes of, Zennor; Morvah; St Just; Sennen; St Levan; St Buryan; Paul; Sancreed and Madron. Passengers must register to become members. Membership is free.

School & Work Service

A return early morning service from St Just (on request) to Sennen, St Levan, Lands End and surrounding areas, by request, for workers and St Levan school children continuing on to:-

Weekday Early Morning Service to Penwith College

This service continues on from the school and work run to Penwith College on to request stops in Penzance and Penzance train station, if required. An ideal service for Penwith College students and workers living in the Sennen/St Levan/St Buryan area. On Wednesdays only this service continues onto Morrison's, Penzance for a quick shop (40 mins) dependent on demand.

Accessibility

We have vehicles available that are wheelchair accessible and have a low access step. Please tell us about any special requirements when you book. Assistant dogs travel free of charge.

Concessionary Fares

Concessionary Card Holders travel free.
